I understand how it can feel when starting a business. OVERWHELMING. Starting a business is a lot of hard work. You have to think about products/services, budget, pricing, marketing, budget, planning, strategy...budget. Did I say budget? Yeah, budget is a big part of the overwhelm. So, having been there, done that, I want to give new business owners a leg up. We all don’t have the luxury to start with a large budget. Yes, you can choose to build your own site but let’s be real if it isn’t pretty that online presence won’t help much.

I've had many clients reach out to me after spending hours attempting to build a website on their own. Only to give up and go searching for professional help. They made a good choice reaching out to me but imagine what they could’ve checked off their to-do list during the time. Unfortunately, some clients could not afford my services and took any advice I could give them. This breaks my heart because I know they will find someone within their budget but you get what you pay for. Most clients end up spending more than they originally planned only to find someone to fix the mistakes low budget web designers have made.

Yes, I have been the fixer and yes, I have lowered my rate for a client that came back pleading for help (only happened once). Not cool, Miriam! However, doing this is not fair to me or my clients who have paid full price for my services. I have a dog to feed and bills to pay just like everyone else.
